BattleLore Rules & Reference Pack (V4: Oct’12)

by Universal Head

Rules SummaryThis extensive collection of rules summaries and reference sheets is designed to make it easy to check rules during the game or give players a quick refresher without having to go through the rulebook. They also make the reference cards provided with the game virtually obsolete!

For best results, print in colour on double-sided card, laminate and cut out.

You’ll find a host of similar rules summaries and reference sheets for many popular games at Universal Head’s blog site, Headless Hollow, on the Freebies: Boardgame Reference Sheets page.

BattleLore Reference Sheets: Translations

by various

Unfortunately these old translated versions of my summaries and references sheets are a bit out of date now, and it has proven too time consuming to keep them updated, but you may find something useful here if you’re a non-English speaker. Thanks to those who took the time to do these translations.

BattleLore Lore Cards Compendium (Last Update: August ’08)

by Gerald Uitz

Lore Cards CompendiumThe online Lore Cards Compendium by DoW is an extremely helpful resource for clarification and elaboration of the Lore cards rules, but many players have expressed the wish that it was available in a downloadable PDF format.

Thanks to the tireless efforts of Austrian BattleLore fan Gerald Uitz (with a touch of graphic help from your webmaster Universal Head), The Lore Cards Compendium is now available for download.

The documents contain five sections, each with its own pagination. Section 1 contains the introduction and index with roman page numbers. Sections 2-5 are reserved for the 4 Lore Masters. They are designed as individual sub documents, each with a separate page count. Each page number contains the lore card ID and a page counter in the format x.y. So, the Rogues Deja Vu would have page number 3.1. If there is more one page under that card, the next page would be 3.2. This means that for each new revision you need only print and replace the revised index and pages with new entries without messing up the overall document structure.

Gerald keeps this document regularly up to date. Many thanks go to him for this excellent resource!

The Siege of Juvage

by Jorge Molinari

Siege of Juvage"A loud crash drowned the cries of the citizenry as another boulder hit the castle wall. The ground shook, and small pebbles from the ceiling gave off a glassy sound as they hit the marble floor. The aging scribe sat anxiously at his desk in the castle library. He was sweating heavily as he awaited Count Gervase. Some of the shelves had toppled over, and the floor was now littered with books and random debris from the broken decorations that had once adorned this elegant hall. Dawn had broken, and the small city of Juvage awoke to the sound of crashing boulders."

Jorge Molinari has not only created a great adventure with Deliver the Message, but he has written an excellent piece of fiction to accompany it, The Siege of Juvage. PDF file (772 Kb).

BattleLore Adventure Army Lists

by Universal Head

Here’s a handy little Excel spreadsheet I whipped up to keep track of how many and which type of units are used in each scenario, so I could paint units in the most efficient order possible. The spreadsheet lists the number used of each type of unit in every official scenario published: the first ten from the core game, the first batch of six published online, and the recently published five Epic games. Download it now.

BattleLore Fan/Demo Posters

by Universal Head

Fan PosterPlanning in-store demos of BattleLore? Setting up a BattleLore club at school or work? Or maybe you just want to let your friends know when the next game is on? These BattleLore Fan Posters have been designed for you.

Available in a variety of sizes and with a space where you can write in the time of your next game in thick black marker. Note that since printers vary so much in their margin settings, the posters have been designed with artwork right to the edge. Use the Fit to Paper setting in your Print dialog box for best results, then trim.

Now get out there and organise a game!
